Fall Gardening

Fall is the most productive gardening season in the Houston-Galveston area.  There are fewer pest pressures, and it is more comfortable for gardeners.  This workshop provides the information home gardeners need to prepare, plant, maintain and harvest vegetables and strawberries grown in the fall and winter climate of the Upper Gulf Coast.  We will cover bed preparation (soils), fertilization, and winter protection.  A fall-winter gardening calendar will also be provided.
